The Coyote Valley quarry is located in a hardened sandstone exposure in west-central Montana. Stone is excavated in large sheets and cut into
rectangular building stone products with a hydraulic stone splitter, or "guillotine." Bluish-gray snapped edges are offset by a warm brown "desert varnish" stain on natural faces.
The quarry produces 4"-6" ledge veneer, blockface ledge, retaining wall blocks, patio stone, lintels, stair treads, hearthstones and landscape benches. Color is uniform and
consistent throughout, and supply is large. For pricing information please email
or call 406-842-5333. This material is hard and dense. It works well with hammer and chisel. Its crisp edges and straight lines make this stone a
natural choice for dry-stack projects. |
