Vigilante River Rock is collected in the heart of old west Montana. Down Alder Creek from Virginia City, once territorial capital, great machines dredged the valley floor looking for
gold. In their wake, the clanging behemoths left miles of meadow topsy-turvy. We pick a variety of archean gneisses, granites and quartzites in various sizes, including small landscaping stones, from these
"dredge piles."
For a true Old West look in fireplaces, chimneys, wall veneer, gate posts, etc, the historical gold dredge tailings can't be beat. |
